Nagaland Environment Minister C M Chang passes away

Nagaland Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Justice and Law C.M. Chang passed away today at Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima. He was 77. State Health officials confirmed that Chang died of COVID-19.  He was the sitting MLA of NDPP from 51-Noksen Assembly Constituency.<br />'' <br />''Nagaland Governor R. N. Ravi, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, Nagaland legislative Assembly Speaker Sharingain Longkumer. Opposition Leader T.R. Zeliang and state political parties comprising of BJP, NDPP, NPCC have condoled the demise of the departed leader.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">As a mark of respect to the departed leader, the Nagaland Government has announced state mourning to be observed throughout Nagaland on 13th and 14th of October. During the period of state mourning, national flag will be flown half mast throughout the state, where it is regularly flown, and there will be no official entertainment during the period. A state funeral will be accorded to the departed leader. </span><br />
