Nagaland is celebrating its 58th Statehood day today. It became the 16th State of the Union of India on 1st December 1,963. The formal inauguration of the state was done by the then President of India Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. On the occasion, a state level programme with minimal participation of invitees was held this morning at Civil Secretariat Plaza Kohima. Stating that all are aware of the many development sectors being undertaken in the state, he said a lot remains to be done to ensure that Nagaland is at par with the rest of the states.<br />'' <br />''On Naga political issue, Rio said the long journey towards the final solution has passed many a stretch and milestone.
