A 6 hour statewide bandh organised by the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee, NPCC on Saturday from 6 AM to 12 Noon went off peacefully. NPCC General Secretary Medokhul Sophie said that the bandh was successful with cent per cent bandh in all the district headquarters.<br/><br/>However, In Kohima, the NPCC had to curtail the bandh for 3 hours in view of the NSF Martyr’s Day which is observed on this day every year. AIR Correspondents from all districts of the state reported that the bandh was observed peacefully without facing any untoward incident.<br/><br/>Kohima District Congress Committee President and the NPCC General Secretary thanked the general public and hosts of organisations for making the bandh a success. It may be mentioned that the NPCC had called the bandh in support of the ten-point charter of demands which includes the dismissal of the ruling Democratic Alliance of Nagaland, DAN Government for alleged financial mismanagement, rampant corruption in various departments, among other demands.<br/>
