Commissioner and Secretary for School Education, SCERT, T. Imkonglemba Ao has said Nagaland is now one of the best performing State in the North East, with regard to mid-day meal scheme.Speaking at a Consultative cum one-day workshop and training on mid-day meal scheme at Kohima, the Commissioner and Secretary said that mid-day meal is a supplement for the downtrodden families to get attracted to school.He pointed out that another aspect of mid-day meal was to provide additional nutritive facilities taking into account the health care issue. He informed that health Care programme, computers, SSA, RMSA and mid-day meal will all become an integrated issue gradually.
