Nagaland is all set to host the First World Bamboo Day celebration from 16th to 18th September at the Heritage Village, Kisama near Kohima. Vice-President Dr. M. Hamid Ansari will be the Chief Guest on 18th September. The three day International Event is to be held under the theme ‘ Bamboo for Livelihood and Community Development’ under the aegis of World Bamboo Organization (WBO). Around 500 delegates from eleven countries besides different states of India are expected to take part in the festival.
