Nadda stresses on need to counter Non-Communicable diseases

Union Health Minister J P Nadda has stressed the need for paying attention to the preventive aspects of Non-Communicable diseases, NCDs. He said, social behaviour change plays a major role in preventing the NCDs. <br/><br/>Speaking at the inauguration of National Conference on Prevention and Control of Major Non-communicable Diseases in New Delhi today, Mr Nadda emphasized upon creating awareness among the people regarding healthy living. <br/><br/>He said, AYUSH system of medicine can be of great help in controlling non communicable diseases. Mr Nadda said, a balanced lifestyle and healthy living is a crucial pillar in combating non communicable disease. <br/><br/>Mr Nadda also launched the M-diabetes initiative which harnesses the power and potential of the vast mobile network and helpful guidelines for screening diseases. Mr Nadda also launched the guidelines for screening of Diabetes, Hypertension and Cancer.
