Union Health Minister J P Nadda today reiterated that India remained a polio-free country despite detection of the virus from samples collected from drainage water in Hyderabad earlier during this month.<br/><br/>He said there is no need to panic about Polio as the one found in Hyderabad was only a Vaccine Derived Polio Virus.<br/><br/>Stating that no case of polio was detected during the past five years in the country, the minister said necessary measures will be taken to vaccinate even the last baby in the age group of 6 weeks to 3 years.<br/><br/>He further informed that so far over 2 lakh children have been vaccinated during the week long special polio drive that will continue till 26th of this month in and around Hyderabad.
