Nadda lays foundation stone for new medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh

Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda laid the foundation stone for two new medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh today. One medical college will be set up on Indo-Nepal border in Terai region of Bahraich while the other in Firozabad, famous for its bangles and glass work. The state of the art medical college will be built with a cost of 189 crores rupees in Bahraich.<br/><br/>On this occasion, Mr Nadda said, our country has already achieved the milestone of being polio and tetanus free and soon it will become Malaria and TB free too. He laid another foundation stone of medical college at Firozabad district to be built with a cost of 190 crores rupees.<br/><br/>Local MP Akshay Yadav, his father and MP Ramgopal Yadav were also present at the event. Ramgopal Yadav is chairperson of parliamentary standing committee on health and family welfare.
