NADA raids at SAI facility in Bhopal

Continuing its drive to catch sports drug offenders following the athletics doping scandal, National Anti-Doping Agency NADA yesterday conducted a raid at the Sports Authority of India facility in Bhopal. A team of NADA officials from Delhi and Bhopal checked 38 rooms of sportspersons at the hostels. Samples of food supplements and other medicines found in seven rooms were sealed for testing. Bhopal sports complex is the third sports centre after SAI Bangalore and the National Institute of Sports , Patiala to be raided by NADA following a string of doping cases that hit Indian sports earlier this month. NADA said it would continue its drive against doping in sports in the country and surprise checks will be carried out at other centers where athletes are trained.
