Health Minister J P Nadda today assured support for research regarding medicinal properties of Ganga water which will benefit human health. Speaking at a workshop on Non-putrefying Properties of Ganga Water in New Delhi, Mr Nadda said, Indian Council of Medical research will co-ordinate with IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, BHU and other research institutes to find more about Ganga water bacteriophage that gives it antibacterial nature.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti said, her Ministry will bring out a research paper highlighting health benefits of Ganga water. Mrs Bharti said, Ganga is a mainstay of India's economy as over 50 crore people depend on Ganga for their livelihoods.
