Union Minister for State for Aayush, Mr Shripad Naik on Wednesday informed that the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) has signed a memorandum of understanding with 14 Departments and Ministries especially with Department of Youth and Sports and Department of Higher Education to ensure that the young people of the country are enlighten about AIDS prevention.<br/><br/>Mr Naik was speaking at a national event to observe International Youth Day at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium at Bambolim near Panaji on Wednesday. The event was organized by National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and Goa State AIDS Control Society. The national theme for this year is "Kadam Badhaao – A Step towards Change"<br/><br/>On the occasion, a special mobile app for the awareness on AIDS has been launched by Mr Shripad Naik. The app which is developed by NACO on information and locating testing centres will go a long way in informing the young generation about correct information on HIV.<br/><br/>Addressing the gathering, Goa Chief Minister Mr Laxmikant Parsekar has sought people's involvement to support the endeavors of the Government to bring down the HIV-infected cases to zero level in Goa. He said, the number of new HIV-infections in Goa are declining which he pointed out is a healthy sign. Promotional Posters and Books were also released on the occasion.
