The National Advisory Council headed by Sonia Gandhi on Friday discussed the draft frame work of Food Security Bill. A presentation was made by the Convener of the Working Group on food security bill on the frame work of the draft bill which aims at providing differential legal entitlements of food grains. An official release of the NAC said that the council will continue its deliberations on the issue at its next meeting on 21st of December. The NAC also decided to set up a working group to look into the issues related to Denotified and Nomadic Tribes. The NAC also decided that the working group on transparency and accountability will examine the proposed amendments to the Right to Information. The convener of the working group on the Communal violence bill briefed the meeting on the work done so far on the issue.
