NABARD embarking on Sanitation Literacy Campaign in Karnataka

<span style="color: #222222;">The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, NABARD is embarking on a Sanitation Literacy Campaign in Karnataka to create awareness on good hygiene and sanitation practices among rural masses. The campaign will commence on Gandhi Jayanti on October 2nd and continue until January 26th next year. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A press release issued by the bank said that under Swachh Bharat Mission they supported the construction of 3.29 crore household toilets disbursing 27,298 crore rupees across the country. The country is today Open Defecation Free (ODF) and efforts are on to implement the next phase of ODF by educating the rural population about water, sanitation and hygiene in 2000 villages covering one lakh population.</span><br />
