Mr. Naba Kumar Das, a senior IAS officer of 1976 batch has taken over the charge of the Chief Secretary of Assam from today. He succeeds Mr. Prafulla Chandra Sharma, who retired yesterday. Mr. Das was on deputation to the Central Government for several times. He also served as the chairman of the Tea Board of India.
