In Meghalaya, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NAARD) has extended loans of over 13,000 lakh rupees for undertaking various developmental programs in the State. <br/><br/>NABARD has sanctioned the amount for 2009-10 as loan for development in rural infrastructures in state. <br/><br/>A statement released by NABARD said the amount given to the State Government would be utilized for construction of roads and bridges, water projects, drinking water projects, soil and water conservation.
