<span style="color: #222222;">The Minister of State for Education Dr Subhas Sarkar has said that out of 1,113 Universities and 43,796 Colleges in the country, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited 418 Universities and 9062 Colleges as of the 31st of last month.<br />''<br />'' In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, the Minister said the University Grants Commission has informed that in order to bring all educational institutions, Universities and Colleges under the accreditation system, NAAC has considerably reduced the fee structure for Assessment and Accreditation. He said over the next 15 years, the National Education Policy 2020 envisions attaining the highest level of accreditation through Institutional Development Plans.</span><br />
