New Zealand and Fiji are to reopen their diplomatic missions in Suva and Wellington in March. <br/><br/>New Zealand Foreign Minister Murray McCully who met Fiji Foreign Affairs Minister Inoke Kubuabola in Suva today confirmed the New Zealand High Commission in Fiji is to reopen in March. <br/><br/>In a media statement, McCully described his meeting with Kubuabola as a fruitful and respectful discussion. <br/><br/>Both New Zealand and Fiji ministers said they remain committed to maintaining dialogue and to ensuring both countries have effective diplomatic representation in each country.<br/><br/>Relations between the two countries have been strained since the 2006 coup in Fiji and further deteriorated last year with the tit-for-tat expulsions of senior diplomats.
