North Korea on Wednesday termed artillery fire by South Korea as a deterioration of the north-south relations. A statement issued by the Central Committee of the Red Cross Society of North Korea accused the South of derailing the process for improving the inter-Korean relations. The statement said the South scuttled the inter-Korean Red Cross talks driving the situation to the brink of war by pursuing its policy of confrontation with the North.
