Mystery shrouds the death of Mr. Sadiq Batcha, Managing Director of green house promoters and a close associate of Mr.A.Raja former union Minister.Speaking to newspersons in Chennai, The City Police Comissioner Mr.T.Rajendran said that he was brought to the Hospital where he was declared dead. The commissioner said that investigations would be started soon. He also said that Batcha’s house has not been searched yet and has been kept locked and guarded.Mr.Batcha was questioned in connection with the 2G spectrum scam and his residences and office premises in Chennai and Perambalur were raided by the CBI in December last year.The AIDMK leader Ms.Jayalalithaa in a statement released in Chennai today stated that investigations should be conducted in Batcha’s case and the issue has to be ascertained by the CBI. She also said that if there is any reluctance on the part of the CBI, then both the Supreme Court and the Joint Parliamentary Committee should step in and issue necessary directives.
