No arrests have been made as yet after the non-bailable warrants were issued by a local court against a BSP MP, two MLAs – one each from BSP and BJP and 11 other community leaders for allegedly inciting violence in trouble hit Muzaffarnagar of Uttar Pradesh. The arrest warrants were issued by a local court early today. Police said ten Police teams have fanned out across the state to arrest those against whom warrants have been issued. Police expects that arrests will be made in two days.
AIR correspondent reports that life returned to normal in Muzaffarnagar as the city remained peaceful. No untoward incident has been reported after curfew was completely lifted.
