A local court at Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh today ordered to initiate attachment proceedings against nine Bhartiya Kisan Union, BKU, activists, including its national president Naresh Tikait, for failing to appear in court despite repeated summons. Judicial Magistrate P K Jayant issued attachment orders against the accused in a nine year old case of rioting, in which non-bailable warrants were issued against them. The judge ordered all the accused to appear before court on June 20.
