Prime Minister Narendra Modi said we must adopt culture where sports is appreciated and supported and said this should start from family. PM was addressing the huge gathering after inaugurating TransTadia- the integrated sports and entertainment Arena at Maninagar in Ahmedabad. <br/><br/>Mr Modi said the young generation of India has the ability to change the future of the country. Saying that determination of our sportspersons is admirable, PM stressed on the need to encourage and support sports. <br/><br/>Expressing disappointment over increasing popularity of Video Games among youngsters, PM said it is ruining their childhood. He urged young people to make sports as apart of their life. <br/><br/>Lamenting over Indian psyche of not believing sports as a career, PM said playing for India is a kind of service to the nation. Reiterating his commitment towards developing sports culture in the country, PM said Khel Mahakumbh initiative of Gujarat government will soon be adopted at national level.<br/><br/>On the occasion, PM launched Khel Mahakumbh Games 2017 organised by Gujarat government. The TransTadia Arena is Asia's biggest multipurpose stadium with sitting capacity of 20, 000. The facility houses as many as 14 sports.
