Muslim pilgrims heading to Haj in Saudi Arabia

About two and a half million Muslim pilgrims are heading to the Haj in Saudi Arabia, climbing Mount Arafat, an annual ritual, outside Mecca, to symbolise renunciation of Satan. Saudi security forces are keeping a watchful eye on pilgrims, deploying tanks, armoured personnel carriers, police vehicles and helicopters to maintain peace. Some two thousand security cameras are used to monitor strategic locations.<br/><br/>Sheikh Osman Khayat delivered the sermon before pilgrims at Mecca's grand mosque calling for unity among Muslims.<br/>
