Muslim personal law Board to oppose Communal Violence Bill

All India Muslim Personal Law Board, AIMPLB, has opposed the proposed Communal Violence Bill. Talking to media persons at Lucknow, AIMPLB spokeperson Maulana Abdul Raheem Qureishi termed it anti Muslim.<br/><br/>Elaborating about agenda of three day annual conference of AIMPLB which began in Lucknow yesterday, Maulana Qureishi said that Bill in its present format cannot be accepted as this does not have provision for accountability for police and civil officials. <br/><br/>He said that during the conference, provisions in the Bill will be discussed in detail. He said that the board will discuss means for effective implementation of Darul Qaza Islamic courts across the country and effective and proper awareness programme will be held for Muslim fraternity in this regard.<br/><br/> On Liberhan Commission’s report the board maintained that report cannot be accepted in totality.
