Muslim Law Board to appeal in SC against Ayodhya verdict

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has unanimously decided to challenge the Allahabad High Court's verdict on the Ayodhya title suits in the Supreme Court. The decision was taken at the working committee meeting of the Board at Lucknow today. The Board decided to move the Supreme Court directly or through the Sunni Central Waqf Board.During the meeting it was observed that the High Court judgement suffers from a number of infirmities.The 51-member committee discussed in detail the High Court verdict. The Muslim Law Board members had earlier said the High Court verdict is not acceptable to them as it was based on faith and not on evidence.
