Renowned Music Director and singer Bapi Lahiri has been honoured with the first Mahanayak award- named after the legendary actor Uttam Kumar- by the West Bengal Government today. <br/><br/>On the occasion of death anniversary of Uttam Kumar to be observed tomorrow, Mr Lahiri was awarded today in Kolkata by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.<br/><br/>On this occasion Bengali films "Bela sheshe" and "Shankhachil" were jointly awarded as the best Bengali films of the year.
