Young filmmaker Katyayan Shivpuri from Maharashtra has won the first prize at the Swachh Bharat Short Film Festival. He was awarded for his film Murga. <br/><br/>Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu awarded Katyayan with a certificate and a cash prize of 10 lakhs rupees. <br/><br/>Addressing the gathering in New Delhi today, Mr Naidu said, the Film Festival was aimed at generating awareness among the people about cleanliness. <br/><br/>Four thousand 346 entries were received by the National Film Development Council in this regard, of which ten filmmakers received cash awards. The Minister also announced that well-known filmmakers including Madhur Bhandarkar, Ramesh Sippy and Shoojit Sircar will support the Swachh Bharat initiative by producing films.
