In Chhattisgarh, elections to the local municipal bodies will be held in the month of December. Declaring the dates for the elections in capital Raipur today, the State election commission said that the elections will be held in three phases on the 21st, 24th and 27th of December. The results of the elections will be declared on the 30th of December this year.<br/>air Correspondent G.C. Dash reports from Raipur that a total of 154 municipal bodies of Chhattisgarh will go to the polls in the coming month. In an interview to AIR news today in capital Raipur, Mr. Shivraj Singh, the state election commissioner said that elections are to be held before the tenure of these bodies comes to an end on the 10th of January next year. A little more than 32 lakh voters will exercise their franchise to choose their leaders in 9 municipal corporations, 26 municipal councils and 119 town panchayats. The nominations for the elections will begin from the first of December. The state election commissioner revealed that these elections will be fought on party basis.<br/>
