Mumbai’s monorail project conducted successfully

A test run of Mumbai’s ambitious monorail project was conducted successfully today between Wadala and Bhakti Park stations. The test run which was conducted to check the integration of the civil work with the four-car monorail covered a distance of 4.4 kms. Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority or the MMRDA, who is supervising the project, has roped in Malaysian Company Scomi for building the coaches and construction giant L&T for the civil work. The first phase of the project will cover a distance of 19.54 kms stretching across 18 stations from Jacob Circle to Wadala and Wadala to Chembur.
