AIR correspondent reports, Mumbai's civic body has authorised police officials and traffic policemen to nab and take action against people not wearing masks in public places. <br />''<br />''Mumbai's civic chief Iqbal Singh Chahal has informed that joint teams of police, traffic police and officials from each of the city's 24 municipal wards will be formed to keep a vigil and collect a fine of two hundred rupees from every offender. He clarified that each and every person, be it a shopkeeper, customer, people going on morning walks or a government officer, everyone must wear a proper face mask.<br />''<br />''Mr. Chahal informed that till date, the civic body has collected penalties worth one crore five lakh rupees from over forty thousand offenders. Meanwhile, in order to control the number of coronavirus cases, the civic chief further stated the number of tests needs to be increased from the current fifteen thousand to over twenty thousand per day.</span><br />
