Mumbai University to soon set up incubation centre at its Kalina Campus

<span style="color: #222222;">Mumbai University will soon set up an incubation centre at its Kalina Campus to promote entrepreneurship among its students. The centre will be set up on a 10,000 square feet area with a grant of five crore rupees received from Maharashtra State Innovative Society.&nbsp;</span><br />” <br />” <span style="color: #222222;">The aim will be to equip students with entrepreneurship and finance skills, promote experimental learning, thinking and creativity. Some of the sectors that the university plans to work on are renewable energy, biotechnology, e-commerce, Artificial Intelligence, and Information Technology. The centre hopes to create a rightful eco-system for students and faculty to transcend ideas into start-up companies.</span><br />” <br />” <span style="color: #222222;">It will also encourage students to generate ideas through ‘Avishkar Program’. According to MU’s vice chancellor, Prof. Suhas Pednekar this initiative will promote self-sufficiency among new entrepreneurs in accordance with start-up India, Make in India and Made in India.</span><br />” <br />”<br />
