Mumbai: Two boats damaged in Naval dockyard fire

An incident of fire was reported within Naval Dockyard, in Mumbai in the early hours today. The fire broke out at one of the security boats deployed for carrying out patrolling off Mumbai. The duty staff took prompt fire fighting actions and prevented the fire from spreading. During the fire fighting operation, two boats suffered damage and ingress of water and were submerged in shallow waters inside the Naval Harbour.<br/><br/>According to Defence PRO in Mumbai, efforts are in progress to salvage the boats. Prompt action by all concerned have ensured that there was no loss of life or damage to other naval assets in harbour. A Board of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate the incident of fire.
