In the first semi final match today, Uttar Pradesh defeated Gujarat by five wickets with 44 balls remaining. Chasing a victory target of 185 runs set by Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh comfortably made 188 runs for 5 wickets in 42.4 overs. For Uttar Pradesh, Akshdeep Nath was the highest scorer with 71 runs. Gujarat had won the toss and elected to bat first.
In the second semi-final of the championship today, Mumbai beat Karnataka by 72 runs. Chasing a victory target of 323 runs set by Mumbai, Karnataka were all out at only 250 in 42.4 overs. Mumbai captain Prithvi Shaw laid the platform with a brilliant 165 off 122 balls.
