Mumbai Test; Day 4: Sachin misses historic 100th international century

Millions of Sachin Tendulkar fans were left disappointed as the iconic batsman once again missed his historic 100th international century only by six runs in the third Cricket Test against the West Indies at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai today.Spectators at Tendulkar's home ground watched in silence as pacer Ravi Rampaul dismissed their favourite hero. Starting on his overnight score of 67 not out, the legendary batsman was in a mood to get the coveted ton as quickly as possible. Tendulkar's 94 off 153 balls knock contained eight boundaries and a couple of sixes. India were 376 for 6 in the first innings, when reports last came in. The hosts still trail by 214 runs in the first innings. After resuming the day at the overnight score of 281 for 3 this morning, Team India first lost its overnight batsman VVS Laxman in the second over of the day on 32, followed by the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar.
