Mumbai sessions court adjourned Salman Khan’s 2002 hit & run case till April 28

A Mumbai sessions court today adjourned Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s 2002 hit and run case till 28th of this month. The case was adjourned as the prosecution sought more time from the court.

Earlier, during the fresh trial of the case on Wednesday last the court had adjourned the case after the witnesses failed to appear before a Mumbai sessions court. The prosecution had submitted a list of 17 witnesses on February 25.

On July 24, 2013, the session’s court had framed charges against Salman for the more serious charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, which entails a 10-year prison term.

Earlier, the 48-year-old actor was tried for the less stringent charge of rash and negligent driving, which attracts a two-year sentence.
