Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad recorded the statement of Taquee Ahmad the brother of Naqi Ahmed, accused in July 13 2011 Mumbai serial blast case. Taquee appeared before the ATS office in Mumbai Sunday morning abiding by a Supreme Court order which asked him to report to the investigating officer of the 13/7 blasts case for recording his statement. The direction was given by the Apex court on March 2 while hearing a petition filed by Taquee against ATS and seeking a fair and transparent probe by an independent agency into the blasts case. However, the Supreme Court has barred police from arresting Taquee until it heard a petition filed by him accusing the anti-terror force of fabricating the case and also seeking transfer of probe to CBI.
