Having sought the custody of alleged LeT handler of 26/11 terrorists Abu Jundal from a Delhi court, Mumbai police are now gearing up to confront him with the lone surviving perpetrator of the brazen attacks Ajmal Kasab.
A senior crime branch officer said that Mumbai Police is hoping to get the custody of Jundal at the earliest so that we can grill him. They would also like to confront him with Kasab.
The officer said Jundal's interrogation will throw ‘complete light’ on what went before, during and after the audacious strike in Pakistan, where the conspiracy was hatched. He said that a separate trial would be held against Jundal for his role in the 26/11 attacks.
Meanwhile NCP leader and Minister of State for Education Fauzia Khan today denied any links with the arrested LeT handler, Abu Jundal, and said she is ready to face any probe. The minister's remarks today came after allegations that Jundal, allegedly spent a day in a room belonging to Khan, at the old Legislators' hostel near the state secretariat in 2009.
