Aiming for a more efficient and increased patrolling across tourist places in Mumbai, the city police has received ten All-Terrain Vehicles. The ATVs were flagged by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in the presence of some other Ministers and senior Police Officers. These ATVs were donated to the Mumbai Police by Reliance Foundation after due approval by the Government of Maharashtra.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Mumbai's Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale said that the vehicles will be primarily used for patrolling of beaches, besides deployment in some rescue operations where normal vehicles cannot reach. The petrol engine-powered ATVs are capable of reaching the speed of 50-60 kilometres per hour on sandy surfaces.</span><br />
