The Economic offences wing of the Mumbai Police today carried out raids at the premises of former Mumbai Regional Congress Committee President Kripashankar Singh. He has been accused of amassing disproportionate assets. According to the police, Singh’s residence and office in suburban Bandra in Mumbai were raided this morning. The police are looking for some documents that will help them in the probe. Singh had yesterday moved the Supreme Court challenging the Bombay High Court’s verdict for his prosecution under the Prevention of Corruption Act and attachment of his immovable properties, two days after an FIR was registered by the city police against him and his family in the disproportionate assets case.
