The Mumbai Police today filed a chargesheet in the Indian Premier League (IPL) betting scandal case. The 11,500-page chargesheet names 22 accused including Chennai Super Kings' former CEO and Son in law of BCCI president-in-exile N. Srinivasan, Gurunath Meiyappan, actor Vindoo Dara Singh, and some bookies involved in the case. Pakistani umpire Asad Rauf also named in the chargesheet as wanted accused. Gurunath Meiyappan has been charged for betting and cheating. Conversation between Vindoo Dara Singh and Meiyappan has also been submitted. According to police sources, there is no evidence of match-fixing or spot-fixing against Meiyappan. Next hearing in the case is set to be on November 21.
