The Special Investigating Team (SIT) of Mumbai police, with the help of Crime Branch and Economic Offences Wing officials, today conducted raids at several places of former Mumbai Regional Congress Committee president Kripashankar Singh in and around Mumbai. Singh has been accused of amassing disproportionate assets.According to the police, Singh’s residence and office in suburban Bandra, Vile Parle and other properties in and around the city belonging to him and his close family members, including his wife and son, were raided this morning. The police are looking for some documents that will help them in the probe.Singh had on Thursday moved the Supreme Court challenging the Bombay High Court’s verdict for his prosecution under the Prevention of Corruption Act and attachment of his immovable properties, two days after an FIR was registered by the city police against him and his family in the disproportionate assets case.
