Mumbai Police Commissioner D. Sivanandan has recommended suspension of 5 police officers for allegedly dancing in a party organized by a mafia. The officers include Assistant Commissioner of Police Prakash Wani and Deputy Commissioner of Police V.N Salve. The recommendations were made in his report submitted to the Maharashtra government yesterday.This is for the first time an IPS officer has been recommended for suspension for underworld links. The Mumbai police in its report have also submitted evidence in the form of photographs and statements of the people who attended the party. The Party was organized by key Chotta Rajan man Paulson Joseph. If the cops are found guilty their services will be terminated.
