Mumbai Police has attached more than a dozen movable and immovable properties of Maharashtra’s former Congress Chief Kripashankar Singh. Earlier on Friday, Mumbai police, with the help of officials from the Crime Branch and Economic Offences Wing conducted raids at several of his premises in and around Mumbai. Raids were also conducted at places belonging to Kripashankar’s close family members, including his wife and son.Supreme Court refused to grant interim stay on Bombay High Court’s order asking Mumbai Police to prosecute and attach Kripashankar Singh’s properties in a disproportionate assets case against him.Meanwhile, Maharashtra’s Home Minister R R Patil has said that the state government would provide a chartered accountant to help police in ascertaining the exact valuation of Singh’s properties.
