Mumbai police today arrested a senior city-based woman journalist in connection with investigation of the murder of senior journalist Jyotirmoy Dey, who was working for the tabloid Mid Day. Jigna Vora who is the deputy bureau chief of English daily Asian Age was arrested as she is alleged to be in touch with fugitive gangster Chota Rajan who is one of the main accused in the case. She had allegedly provided the gangster with the registration number of Dey’s bike along with his office and residence addresses. Police said that they have arrested Jigna Vora as they suspect she played a role in the conspiracy hatched to murder J Dey. Ten persons allegedly from Chhota Rajan gang have so far been arrested in connection with the case. Dey was shot dead in suburban Mumbai on June 11.
