Mumbai: Over 36% samples tested COVID positive out of 10,197 samples in Sero survey

<span style="color: #222222;">With an indication of Mumbai moving towards herd immunity, more than 36 percent samples tested positive in a Sero survey. The civic body said out of 10,197 samples taken for the survey, 36.30 percent tested positive implying presence of anti-bodies against Covid 19. AIR correspondent reports that the surprising revelation in this Sero survey is the increase in number of people testing positive from the non slum areas. This is the third Sero Survey in which 28.5 percent samples from non slum areas tested positive, while in the last two surveys conducted in July and August last year the figures were 16 percent and 18 percent respectively.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">On the otherhand with a 41.6 percent positivity in slum areas found in this survey, the figure showed a decline as in the last two surveys the percentage of  samples  testing positive were 57 percent and 45 percent. Meanwhile, 35.02 per cent of men were found to be Sero positive while among women, positivity rate was 37.12 per cent. It may be noted that survey was conducted on the population who have not been vaccinated.</span><br />''  <br />
