Homes in the city bore a traditional look with the sounds of traditional aarti. The idols are placed a period of one and a half day, five , seven or ten days respectively. Long lines of devotees can be seen at some of the most famous ganesh pandals like the Lalbaugcha raja, Andhericha raja, GSB ganapati, respectively.
