<span style="color: #222222;">Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar on Sunday visited Gateway of India and took stock of the arrangements ahead of the strict COVID restrictions which will be imposed from tonight. She personally interacted with the tourists on the spot and requested them to wear masks properly and avoid crowding. After announcing more strict restrictions in the state, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has stressed on the importance of citizen's cooperation in the fight against COVID-19 especially against the fast spreading Omicron virus. He requested the people of the state to be vigilant about the symptoms and seek medical advice at the earliest. Meanwhile Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said that the pandemic can be controlled by avoiding crowding and getting the protective cover of COVID-19 vaccine.</span>
