A resident of Mumbai has tested positive for the XE variant of COVID-19. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has said that the 67-year-old patient and his wife had visited Vadodara on 11th of last month in a private airliner. They had stayed there at a hotel where they met two British citizens who had come from London on 6th March.<br />''<br />''The patient had fever on 11th March and did testing on the following day, which came positive. The civic body official said, the patient returned to Mumbai along with his wife on 13th of March and remained in home isolation till 20th March. The patient did not develop any other symptoms after he was tested positive for the XE variant of Covid-19.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said that the XE variant is not fatal. He also said that the Centre has asked the state government to take necessary precautions in its fight against Covid-19.</span>
