But two to threefold rise in the cases is the biggest cause of concern. Therefore common people, as well as political parties, should avoid functions and large gatherings in the present circumstances in the state. BMC commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal has hinted that lockdown will be mandatory if daily cases in Mumbai go beyond 20,000. Endorsing his stand Mumbai Mayor said that people will have to follow self-regulation and they should resolve not to attend functions and gatherings like marriages and also organize their family functions with the minimum number of persons following all the protocols. She again appealed to the people not to lower their guards and always wear a good quality triple layer mask at all the public places. She said that if people want to avoid the lockdown they should resolve not to attend crowded places, should not remove their masks while traveling in public transport, complete their vaccination with both the doses and vaccination of the children in the newly added age group. </span><br />
