Mumbai local train services on Central Railway slowly resumes

The motorman union has called off their flash strike after negotiations with central railway officials today. Earlier today, the motorman union had called a flash strike at CST Station following a stone pelting incident at Diva station in which a railway motorman suffered injuries. The central railway local line services were disrupted following a technical snag near Kalyan station.

Due to a 5-hour long hold-back of trains, annoyed commuters started Rail Roko and pelted stones on local trains. Several up and down local trains and few long distance express trains were seen standstill at Dombivli, Diva, Mumbra and Thane stations. Huge office going crowd was also seen near all the central railway stations waiting for recommencement of train services.

Meanwhile, the local train services slowly resumed from Diva and CST station. Central railway officials said, as many trains are halted between the stations, it will still take some time to restore the local train services.
